Survivor Led; Ally Funded

This is the start of something beautiful.
If you’ve ever lived it, escaped it, or vowed to never let another woman face it alone, you belong here.

…psychological abuse was a significant predictor of both PTSD and depression, whereas physical aggression did not predict these outcomes.” ~ National Library of Medicine

WELCOME TO THE MISSION

where survivors of emotional abuse are seen and held
because no one should have to rebuild their life alone after emotional abuse
because no one understands a survivor like another survivor

Dear survivor,
This mission is for every woman who felt “less than” by every person she has ever loved.
This mission is for every woman who depleted every piece of her being, begging for love from someone who could never give it.
This mission is for every woman who only stayed because it wasn’t “physical” abuse, because it wasn’t “physical” cheating, because it wasn’t “really” rape.
This mission is for every woman who lost herself and couldn’t or still can’t find her way back.
This mission is for every woman who does for others, but never for herself.
This mission is for every woman who had to walk away from someone they deeply loved.
This mission is for you because you lived it.

HOW THIS MISSION CAN HELP SURVIVORS

One of the hardest things a person will ever do is leave an emotionally abusive relationship.

No one really understands the complexity of what we go through unless they have gone through it themselves.

Many of us struggle through the aftermath on our own. Friends become tired of hearing us repeat our stories over and over, not understanding that repeating is part of reminding us why we left, and that it is key in reprogramming our mind to remember it was abuse.

If we don’t repeat it, we may go back.

Many of us think we lost ourselves to one relationship, only to realize the disappearance began with others – likely family – years ago, and have no idea where to begin finding who we truly are.

Working with someone who has lived it matters, because they understand the mindset trauma creates: feeling unworthy, ugly, or not enough. And they understand what works.

Therapy helps us understand where it began. Coaching helps us take the steps forward. And somatic work like Reiki releases the emotional weight we’ve carried for years.

These three together rebuild a life.

While therapy is often covered by insurance, the medical field has not yet caught up to the true, life changing benefits of modalities such as life coaching, Reiki, and more.

This mission was created to fund access to the services that help survivors move forward – within a supportive community of women who understand.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

SPONSOR/FUND THE MISSION
One of the easiest ways to help is through funding and sponsoring. Without you, this program will not take off. This mission is new, and there is need. With soft promotions, we already have 9 women seeking this support, and cost is the barrier standing in their way.

All funding during this phase will go toward startup costs and directly support events and programs for survivors of emotional abuse.

Programs will include group life coaching and somatic release sessions led by trauma-informed life coaches who have learned how to set boundaries with toxic people and create lives of fulfillment. The focus will be self love, empowerment, and personal self discovery.

The pattern of abuse stops here, and you can be the person who helps.

The founders event will be in a beautiful healing studio in Ann Arbor on December 6th, starting at 10am. Space is limited to 25.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Sherry Maroon, a trauma-informed life coach and Reiki master/teacher is the founder of Rise Anew LLC which was opened in 2020. Since opening, she has helped over 100 clients gain clarity, release long-held emotional weight, reconnect with their inner strength, and take the steps needed to rebuild their lives with confidence and intention.

Having gone through emotional and narcissistic abuse herself, she understands the intricacies of these relationships: the breaking free, the aftermath, and the imprint they leave on the subconscious long after we leave.

She meets her clients where they are and walks with them as they find their way to who they truly want to be.

This mission is a new endeavor to provide empowerment to women who often cannot afford these services. Many women in abusive relationships experience financial control and leave with limited funds or few employment options. Trauma and abuse can also lead to lasting challenges including difficulties with work environments, authority, and trust. These are the women this mission is designed to serve. And as the mission continues and grows, Sherry’s goal is to offer a training program for program graduates who feel called to support others, with the potential to become service providers within the mission.
Full circle. Full empowerment.
