EMBRACING THE POWER AND VERSATILITY OF SELF REIKI

Not long ago, I went to a yoga class. It was wonderful. The room was warm and cozy, the teacher was calm and had wonderful nurturing things to say, and the movements were challenging in a soft way.

Everything about the session was wonderful. I felt good as we wound it up and was so glad I chose to go. As the session came to a close, we went into corpse pose for relaxation and reflection. I decided that would be a good time to send myself some Reiki and additional healing. I pulled my arms in and placed my hands on my chest, calling in Reiki. I immediately felt warmth and a blanket of calm wash over me. I also felt the presence of spirit next to me, letting me know they were supporting me in that moment and always. I had a soft, quiet release in the form of some tears falling from my eyes. It was a beautiful, healing moment that followed a beautiful, nurturing yoga session.

Reiki is one of the most profound modalities we can incorporate into our self-healing routine. What makes Reiki truly special, however, is its versatility. It can be used in many different ways, at any time, and in virtually any place.

When we think about the ways we can work on ourselves, we often think of going to therapy, which requires an appointment, or going to Yoga, which requires attending a scheduled class or, at a minimum, moving your body for 15–60 minutes at home. We think of walking in nature, reading self-help books, taking baths, etc. And perhaps we think of going to get a massage or a Reiki treatment. But what if we could simply place our hands on ourselves and give Reiki to ourselves any time we wanted? Better yet, as shown in my yoga story, what if we could boost the benefits of something else we love to do for ourselves by simply adding a touch of our hands…a touch of Reiki.

That is exactly what I have done since I was attuned (connected) to Reiki in 2019. I have given myself Reiki for headaches, anxiety, and stomach issues. I have boosted my healing practices of walking in nature, meditation, and taking baths (of which it does make me sleep in the tub, so be careful with that one!). And also by going to see a Reiki therapist on occasion as well, because just because we can cook for ourselves, doesn’t mean we don’t deserve a dinner out once in a while!

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher who teaches levels 1–4 both virtually and in person. And because I am big on self-healing, Level 1 is currently only $125 and includes a mini journaling session as well so you can gain even more inner guidance on the day that you become connected to this beautiful energy.

If you are not attuned to Reiki or are, and simply want to feel the magic of an attunement once again, I would love to see you at one of my upcoming events. Scroll through the link below to find the event that matches you best.

Best vibes always,
Sherry
